Why your balance does not tell the whole story
Part of that money is already spoken for: rent, bills and what you want to keep. CapSolde does the subtraction for you.
Fictional example. In your budget, CapSolde also accounts for your envelopes and card purchases, and looks up to a year ahead.
How it works
The amount your bank shows today. That is your starting point.
Your income, bills and debts, with their dates. What you do not know yet can wait.
CapSolde works out what you can use. You confirm payments as the days go by and the amount updates.
Six guided steps to get started. You can come back later.
Try it with an example
Pick a situation, move the slider and see what would be left. The numbers are fictional.
Upcoming payments and the money kept aside are already taken out.
Calculated looking up to a year ahead.
It fits. The choice is yours.
Same income and payments in both situations; only the starting balance changes. Nothing is saved.
CapSolde checks up to a year ahead and keeps the tightest period. Changing the displayed period does not change today’s amount.
Lowest projected balance: $2,365 on day 5. After the $500 kept aside, this period’s margin is $1,865.

Questions
Short answers to the questions we hear most.
Your balance is the money in your account at one moment. The available amount takes out what is already planned: upcoming payments, envelopes and the money you keep aside. A payment is never counted twice.
An envelope sets aside part of your budget for one kind of spending, like groceries. You see what is planned, what is spent and what is left. The money stays in your account: nothing is moved.
Put the expense in the Subscriptions category, when you set up your budget or later. It appears on the Subscriptions page. A recurring subscription keeps one card, even with several payments.
A payment may differ from what you planned. Confirming the real amount keeps your budget accurate. If a detail is missing, you can add it later. Confirming $0 does not cancel an expense.
No. You enter your information and confirm your income and expenses. The balance shown in CapSolde is not updated by your bank.
No. You cancel with the provider. Then record the end date and the remaining payments in CapSolde. Past payments are kept.
Your balance and your next payments are enough for a first look. The rest can come later.
