A budget that helps you choose

Connect what comes in, what goes out and what remains for your priorities.

Your bank balance and the money left for a new choice are different reference points.

A plan with a purpose

A budget brings together your income, spending and savings. FCAC explains that it can help you plan goals and decide how to use your money.

The date matters as much as the amount

There may be money in your account while rent and an annual bill are approaching. CapSolde’s estimated amount left considers planned payments, reserved money and the amount you want to keep, across several periods up to a year.

This estimate depends on the information you enter. A missing payment or an outdated date can change it. CapSolde does not connect to your bank.

One amount, several possibilities

Imagine an estimated amount left of $100. If you choose to set aside $60, you have $40 left to split between spending or an extra debt payment. The same $100 is not available three times.

This is an illustration of a choice: CapSolde does not make bank transfers. Check your information, compare your options and decide according to your priorities.

Useful without requiring perfection

A two-year FCAC study associates budgeting, even occasionally, with some better financial outcomes. It does not establish cause and effect, and also finds that some people do well without a formal budget.
